Sa’Nah Britt

Dancer

Sa’Nah Britt (she/her), a Twin Cities native, began her journey at The School at TU Dance Center as a student in 2014 and went on to graduate from Perpich Arts High School in 2020. She has continued to pursue and shape her passion at TU Dance, under founder and artistic director,Toni Pierce-Sands in many different facets of the organization including as a pre-professional student, CULTIVATE trainee, professional dancer, teaching artist and choreographer for the school, where she strives to inspire and encourage other young dancers.

 

Throughout her time at TU Dance, Sa’Nah has performed works by Alvin Ailey, Leila Awadallah, Stephanie Batten-Bland, Camille A. Brown, Ronald K. Brown, Gregory Dolbashian, Alia Kache, Laurel Keen, Maurya Kerr, Alanna Morris, Abdo Sayegh Rodriguez, Yusha Marie-Sorzano, Darrius Strong, and Marcus Jarrell Willis.

 

Recently, TU Dance celebrated its 20 Year Anniversary and held special performances at The O’Shaughnessy in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Sa’Nah performed the solo “Witness” choreographed by Alvin Ailey, “New Second Line” by Camille A. Brown, “Four Corners’ by Ronald K. Brown and a new trio choreographed by Yusha-Marie Sorzano entitled, “This World Anew”, which was originally commissioned for the Edges of Ailey exhibit at the Whitney Museum in New York, honoring the life and legacy for Mr. Ailey.

 

As she follows her passion for dance, Sa’Nah continues to look forward to future opportunities and is prepared to rise to the calling and the challenges that progress her evolution as a professional dance artist.
